CCS Continuing Education Award

Award Amount:

• $2,000 maximum annually
• Awards may be dispersed to multiple winners, no applicant to receive more than $1,000 in any one year. Therefore, based on applicant numbers and qualifications awards may be split $1,000 and $1,000 or $1,000 and (2) $500 or (4) $500 awards, or as needed
• Award monies need not total $2,000 in any given year.

Eligibility:

• Son or daughter of a CCS member in good standing*

• Applicant must be a full or part time student at an institution of higher learning.
• Preference given to those students majoring in a science or taking a course related to the coatings field
• Applicant must fill out application
• Applicant can not be a current CCS Education Committee Scholarship winner

1. Awards are not offered on a continuing basis, applicants must apply each year to be eligible
2. The granting of these monies is designed and intended to allow applicants to pursue further technical training or education in the coatings industry or related fields
3. Awards are given based on need and applicability, as determined by the CCS Education Committee and the CCS Board of Directors.  Award monies may increase or decrease depending upon the financial stability of the Society and if the Board determines multiple winners.
4. The CCS does not guarantee an annual dispersement of funds only that it will review all applicants
5. All decisions by the Board are final.

*  “Member in Good Standing” requirements; members have to attend at least 50% of all scheduled dinner meetings/events prior to the application deadline.
